How powerful is US President Donald Trump? That’s the question pollsters have been asking in the lead-up to the midterm elections. Polls have opened in dozens of US states in what is widely considered a referendum on Donald Trump. Most polls suggest Democrats will take back the House of Representatives, but could they also take the Senate and stymie Trump’s agenda during his final two years in office?
