The free throw form is so terrible nothing can prepare you for it
There are a lot of ways to shoot free throws, and we’ve seen a lot over the years — from players with perfect form, to the Shaq shotput, Rick Barry’s granny shot, and more. But nothing will prepare you for this shot form from South Florida’s Kendall Puryear. This is the most chaotic, bizarre free throw shooting form I think I have ever seen pic.twitter.com/ezLYYuZ8N9 — Carter Lowe (@carterl0we) November 3, 2026 Puryear transferred from Purdue in the offseason, which is important to note — because I have absolutely no idea how you make it through every stage of basketball up to college and then play for two programs without someone pulling you aside and trying to fix this thing. It’s a stationary robot javelin thrower at the line with absolutely no aim, no solid form, just vibes. Outside of this mind-boggling free-throw form, Puryear is a good player. The junior forward scored 12 pts, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists on Monday night, and a very much expected zero percent from the stripe. This was her weakness at Purdue as well, where she only shot 58 percent from the line. I can’t stop watching this on repeat and being confused by how this ended up being her form.
