Targeted drug significantly delays advanced breast cancer progression but increases toxicity, phase III trial reports

In a global phase 1 trial, trastuzumab rezetecan showed promising signs of fighting ERBB2-low metastatic breast cancer in patients who had already undergone extensive treatment. Also known as HER2-low breast cancer, this subtype is characterized by low levels of HER2, a growth factor protein that can still be targeted for treatment.
