Adding abiraterone to ADT and docetaxel improves survival in metastatic prostate cancer

Adding abiraterone to standard treatment provides a lasting survival benefit for men whose prostate cancer has already spread at diagnosis, reinforcing the value of early treatment intensification. The findings come from almost eight years of follow-up in the academically led phase 3 PEACE-1 trial presented at the ESMO Congress 2026.
