JD Vance got ignored at Bengals practice and Joe Burrow’s reaction was hilarious
The Cincinnati Bengals had a special guest attend practice on Wednesday with Vice President JD Vance making the trip to see the team, and meet the players. The only problem with that second part of the equation is that almost every single player ignored him while walking off the field. Perhaps some players said something to the VP, but it’s unclear from this video if anyone did. QB Josh Johnson who is on the practice squad did give a slight nod to Vance as he walked past him, but that’s the only other player who obviously ackowledged Vance’s existence. Joe Burrow was asked if he had a chance to interact with the VP in his post-practice presser. “We did not. We did not. He came with everybody and left with swiftness and efficiency before the end of practice, so I didn’t get to.” Burrow went on to say he loves that people want to come to practice to watch the team, but clearly from his answer, it was dripping in subtext. Even in an election cycle, it’s kind of weird to have a politician come to football practice, just because. A game, sure — but we’re talking about practice.
