Sailing from Britanny to Guadeloupe: Route du Rhum village opens ahead of transatlantic race

Tuesday marked the opening of the race village in Saint-Malo for the Route du Rhum, with the first boats arriving and more expected in the coming days. A fleet of 115 boats is set to depart on November 1 for Guadeloupe in the Caribbean, as competitors prepare to take on this legendary solo sailing race across the Atlantic.
