Economy Overshadows GOP Border Success, Says Samara Klar

Samara Klar, professor at the University of Arizona School of Government and Public Policy, said that high prices are dragging Republican messaging in Arizona ahead of President Trump's visit to campaign in the state. Klar also spoke about the how the issue of immigration enforcement and border security is playing alongside affordability. She said that Republicans might not be able to capitalize on border wins as 'the economy is such an issue for voters that in many ways it’s overshadowing a lot of the successes Republicans might have otherwise been able to claim when it comes to border security.'
