French youth demand answers as education protests enter third week

French students have continued nationwide protests for a third week, demanding more funding for education, better teaching conditions and more staff. The government’s plan to recruit 3,000 substitute teachers has failed to satisfy demonstrators, who are calling for an additional €10 billion in education spending.
