We loves it, precious! Few games have had as lasting an impact on the overarching gaming space through one mechanic alone as the Nemesis system presented in Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and its sequel, Shadow of War. First released in 2014, it's hard to believe such innovation has been stuck locked away for over a decade since Monolith Productions, its original developers, closed their doors, leaving the Nemesis system locked behind them thanks to Warner Bros.' patent, but Aspyr, following their recent port for Lord of the Rings: War in the North, have brought back arguably one of the most celebrated Tolkien-esque games to Switch 2, either sold separately, or together with its sequel as part of the Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle.
