Newly uncovered enzyme mechanism could help target drug-resistant breast cancer

One of the major challenges in treating the most common subtype of breast cancer (hormone receptor positive, HR+) is the emergence of resistance to treatment. In a recent study, Boston Children's Hospital researchers and colleagues discovered a new driver of resistance, pointing to a way to detect resistant cancer cells early and a possible way to target them.
