Where’s the $100 Million? Luxe Hotel’s Saudi Buyer Has Yet to Produce a Deposit

Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Dell, and the King of Morocco were all approached to buy The Pierre, according to recently released documents reviewed by Vanity Fair. But it was Saudi businessman Motasem Khashoggi who secured the deal for the glamorous hotel overlooking Central Park—pending a vote from shareholders and a $100 million deposit.
