Trump expects Iran talks next week after rejecting seven-day truce proposal

US President Donald Trump said on Sunday he expected talks with Iran to resume next week, despite rejecting Tehran’s proposal for a seven-day truce followed by the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump has raised the possibility of renewed air strikes on Iran, but told Axios he anticipated further negotiations.
