State HIV prevention policies may benefit racial and ethnic groups unequally

State policies that make health care easier to obtain and protect LGBTQ+ people from discrimination are associated with greater use of HIV prevention measures among white adults, but those benefits may not extend equally to Black and Latino populations, according to a new study. Black and Latino populations continue to have the highest HIV incidence rates and remain priority populations in the national initiative to eradicate HIV in the United States.
