UK police make arrests, evacuate homes in ‘major incident’ near air base used by US forces

British police said they had evacuated homes Sunday near the air base of Fairford in southwest England used by US air forces and arrested several men over suspected explosives offenses. Fairford, in ⁠Gloucestershire, has been used by the US to launch operations against Iran.
