UACR, UPCR provide indistinguishable prognostic information in chronic kidney disease

In a cohort of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), urinary albumin-creatinine ratio (UACR) and urinary protein-creatinine ratio (UPCR) provide clinically indistinguishable prognostic information for kidney and cardiovascular outcomes, according to a research letter published online Sept. 23 in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
