Apple Explores Screenless Fitness Tracker to Rival Whoop

Apple is exploring a new screenless health and fitness tracker designed to compete with devices from Whoop and Oura, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. The device could offer longer battery life and make sleep and workout tracking easier than with an Apple Watch. Gurman discusses the project as part of a broader rethink of Apple’s wearables lineup, alongside new smart-home products, smart glasses and other devices in development.
