White House Responds to Suit Filed by 3 News Outlets Over Ban

In a court filing by the Justice Department, the DOJ says media access to White House grounds is a privilege, not a right. It argues that CNN, MS NOW and Politico don’t deserve that access because “the president concluded that they have failed to maintain basic minimum ‘standards of professionalism and decorum.” The news outlets say the move violates their due process and their First Amendment right.
