Varenicline and combination nicotine replacement therapy deemed preferred treatments for tobacco use

A new clinical practice guideline from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) provides recommendations for tobacco use treatment. Tobacco and nicotine use among veterans and military service members causes physical and mental health effects and reduces force readiness.
