Roman Baths of Slovenia (Rimski Terma) in Slovenia
In a valley surrounded by forested mountains is a mineral spring and baths in use since the Roman Empire. The baths were frequented by soldiers and royalty who wanted to take advantage of its purported healing properties. The land around the baths feature historical walking paths lined with trees donated to the area by high society visitors such by Victoria of Prussia who gifted a giant sequoia. The baths traverse a large, quiet space inside into an outside area with a stunning view. In the area are two smaller hot water mineral baths equipped with jets and a sprawling space with chairs and umbrellas for outdoor lounging. In full, the complex is a hiking area, hotel, spa, restaurant, bar, and cafe with more spaces for events. Don't forget to fill your water bottle from the mineral spring and take note of the Latin phrases around the building and baths.
