Air France bets on caviar and champagne to lure luxury flyers

Air France is betting big on luxury to keep wealthy travellers spending with lavish servings of caviar and champagne in first-class cabins as soaring fuel costs and disrupted travel patterns squeeze airlines worldwide. The campaign seems to have paid off, with the Paris-based carrier saying that premium bookings and revenue have grown this year despite industry-wide higher fares.
