Clara Wu Tsai on the NY Liberty, Rise of the WNBA | The David Rubenstein Show
Clara Wu Tsai is one of the most influential sports owners and philanthropists today. In 2019, she and her husband, Joe Tsai, bought the New York Liberty, where she helped transform the franchise into a WNBA championship team by investing in players, facilities, management and the fan experience. Wu Tsai, who also co-owns the Brooklyn Nets, explains why sports have become a legitimate asset class and why live sports are increasingly valuable in the age of AI. She also reflects on her journey from growing up in Kansas as the daughter of immigrants from Taiwan, to building a career in business as well as her philanthropy, and the lessons she's learned about leadership, opportunity and success. Wu Tsai joins David Rubenstein for the premiere episode of The David Rubenstein Show: Peer to Peer Conversations, Season 12. This interview was recorded June 4, in Brooklyn, New York.
