Nico Collins injury: Texans WR injures hamstring in practice

| Getty Images The Houston Texans face the Cincinnati Bengals in a matchup of AFC playoff hopefuls in Week 2, and the Texans need a win to avoid an 0-2 start. But they could be without wide receiver Nico Collins, who is in “jeopardy” of missing the game after injuring his hamstring in practice. According to a report from Adam Schefter, Collins hurt his hamstring during the team’s practice and met with doctors after the session. While doctors “don’t believe it’s serious,” according to Schefter’s report, he is in “jeopardy” of missing Sunday’s game against the Bengals: Texans WR Nico Collins injured his hamstring at Wednesday’s practice, met with doctors after and they “don’t believe it’s serious,” per source. Yet Collins’ status for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals is in jeopardy. pic.twitter.com/Quo1m4C56H — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) September 17, 2026 Collins was also “limited” in practice on Wednesday. The Houston wide receiver was targeted ten times by C.J. Stroud in the Texans’ Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills, catching seven of those targets for 75 yards and a touchdown. Houston lost to the Bills by a final score of 36-31 in Week 1, to fall to 0-1 on the young season. This is a developing story and will be updated.
