Her mother, Inger Anderson, is a philanthropist and business owner who operates Palm Beach Groves, an orange orchard and souvenir shop that she and her husband bought in 1978. Bettina Trump, 39, grew up on a Palm Beach estate known as Oasis Cottage that once belonged to fashion designer Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau. The ProPublica report raised concerns about a Russian oligarch and Putin ally gaining access to the president's son, which Bettina Trump dismissed in the post. "It's unfortunate that something so personal and happy can be recast as something political or sinister simply because of who someone is or where they come from," she wrote, adding, "sometimes a wedding gift is simply a wedding gift."
