SPD governor campaigns as one-woman bulwark against AfD

Manuela Schwesig, of the center-left SPD, has governed the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, on the Baltic Sea coast, since 2017. Ahead of this weekend's election, she is campaigning against the nationalist AfD.
