US beats spirited France to win 12th women's basketball World Cup

The United States defeated a spirited France 97-79 in the 12th women's basketball World Cup final in Berlin on Sunday, winning for a record-extending 12th time. Playing in their first ever World Cup final, France lost their composure as the Americans turned on the afterburners in the second half.
