Beloved 1980s mall staple closes another 17 stores after more than 150 wiped from the map over the past three years

A BELOVED mall staple is shrinking again and closing another 17 stores. Popular footwear chain Journeys is reportedly downsizing its mall footprint once more. Once a familiar fixture alongside Claire’s and Hot Topic, Journeys now has just 924 locations. A company earnings call press release revealed that Journeys used to have over 1,000 locations in February 2025....
