Researchers reflect on longterm health impacts of 9/11
The 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks is a reminder that the horrific events of that day continue to be felt a quarter-century later. While 2,753 people perished in the initial attacks on the World Trade Center, hundreds of people exposed in the aftermath have since died from related illnesses. Columbia Mailman School researchers have led research uncovering some of those health impacts.
