Ghana Plans 6% Cocoa Price Hike, Risking More Ivorian Smuggling

Ghana’s cocoa industry regulator has proposed raising farmers’ pay by about 6% for the new season, which would further widen the gap over prices in neighboring Ivory Coast and risk more smuggling over the border.
