Vaccine protects against multiple fungal infections without hurting the gut

A vaccine created by University of Georgia researchers to battle multiple life-threatening fungal infections has successfully achieved protective immunity in preclinical animal models while maintaining the biodiversity of the gut microbiome, according to a new study published in Microbiology Spectrum.
