Macron hosts summit to urge support for cinema amid impact of AI, streaming

French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday called for stronger international efforts to protect cinema from the disruptive impact of artificial intelligence and streaming platforms while hosting more than 200 industry figures at the Lumière Summit in southern France.
