FDA approves first-in-class drug for polycythemia vera

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Takeda Pharmaceuticals' Mimrylo (rusfertide) as a new treatment for adults with polycythemia vera who have not achieved adequate control with existing therapies.
