President Will Signal Nuclear Aims Over If He Ends War, Says Former National Intelligence Official

Former Deputy Director of National Intelligence and Retired Lieutenant General Karen Gibson said that if the president declares war with Iran over it will signal he has abandoned the aims of the war, including putting curbs on the Iranian nuclear program. Gibson said that even if President Trump declares war over, it will likely not move Iran's blockade on the Strait of Hormuz unless the US is prepared to give up its economic campaign as well.
