France-UK ties and humour celebrated as London receives Bayeux Tapestry

French President Emmanuel #Macron is in #London on the occasion of the #Bayeux Tapestry's exhibition at the #BritishMuseum. The 1,000-year-old work of woven art recounts the Battle of #Hastings, in which William the Conqueror – #KingCharles's ancestor – led the Norman Conquest of #England. An opportunity for the French president, the British PM Andy #Burnham and British monarch to celebrate the strong ties between the two countries.
