NYLIM's Hermann Says Bond Market Signals Tighter Rates

Julia Hermann, Global Market Strategist at New York Life Investment Management, says the recent move in bonds is warning equity investors to pay closer attention to interest rates. In her view, markets are heading into a tighter rates environment over the next few months, but the key question is whether the pressure comes from the front end of the curve through an imminent Fed tightening cycle or from the long end through further Treasury selloff and higher long-term yields.
