Catheter-directed therapy improves pulmonary embolism outcomes

In patients with intermediate-high-risk pulmonary embolism, catheter-directed thrombolysis improved short-term clinical outcomes compared with standard anticoagulation therapy alone, according to results presented today in a Hot Line session at ESC Congress 2026.
