Meta’s child safety settlement includes new protections for young users and is increasing pressure on other social media platforms to adopt similar safeguards. UK House of Lords National Security Strategy Committee member and Online Safety Activist Baroness Beeban Kidron is on Bloomberg This Weekend and says the bigger impact may come from forcing technology companies to take greater responsibility for product design and age verification, rather than relying on children and parents to protect themselves.
