Trump cuts to science advisory boards have long-lasting consequences, researchers say

Advisory boards exist so someone smarter than the administration can say no. Cut the boards, keep the no from ever happening.

The federal government recruits top experts to volunteer to advise on pressing research issues of the day. Since President Trump took office, hundreds of these experts have been dismissed.
