Fantasy football rankings: Top 300 PPR overall players for 2026
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - DECEMBER 25: Jahmyr Gibbs #0 of the Detroit Lions warms up before the game against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on December 25, 2025 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. | Getty Images Welcome to the 2026 fantasy football PPR draft rankings! The last couple years have been great for early round running backs, as injuries haven’t been as devastating as previous seasons. Are we back to drafting running backs early? I just think we might be. Much depends on your draft spot and who was taken ahead of you, but I’m wanting at least one stud running back in my first two picks and I’m not afraid of going with back-to-back backs to start this season. There are some truly high-upside receivers in the third, fourth, and fifth rounds this year and I am going to give them a go, while I wait on quarterback and tight end. I’m not locked into this strategy, as you have to be ready to change things up in the middle of a draft, but that’s my template for drafting this year. Even in full PPR leagues, I’m leaning running backs early, but the top receivers do get a bump compared to half PPR. Injuries: Every year we have plenty of injuries to deal with come draft day. There are always players coming off surgeries, who we have to just take our best educated guess as to how they will perform following a major injury. Then there are those players banged up in training camp and preseason. Their team may say they’ll be fine, but teams and players lie all the time. We need to remember that a couple games lost to start the season won’t kill our redraft teams, but we also need to take each player on a case by case basis. Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs Mahomes tore his ACL in December last season, which means he hasn’t had a ton of time to heal. But, he was cleared for training camp and has been practicing fully. At this point there’s no doubt he’ll play in Week 1. It appears he will wear a brace, so we can’t expect him to run like he did last season, which will hamper his fantasy numbers. At this point, Mahomes isn’t a strong fantasy pick, but if they can ever get things going again, we know what he’s capable of. A Running backs Ashton Jeanty, Raiders Jeanty is dealing with an ankle sprain and it appears Week 1 is in some doubt. We’ll need to learn more, but handcuffing Jeanty with Mike Washington makes plenty of sense as we head into Klint Kubiak’s rookie head coaching season. Zach Charbonnet, Seahawks Charbonnet tore his ACL in the playoffs last year and his return date is still a mystery. There have been positive reports, but he likely won’t be back until closer to mid-season. If you have an IR spot, he’s worth stashing, but I wouldn’t want to hold a bench spot down with him for now. Rookie Jadarian Price should see plenty of work to start the season and is worth a shot at his current ADP. Jeremiyah Love, Cardinals The top player off your rookie draft boards is also hurt at the moment. Love suffered a high-ankle sprain in the first preseason game. His outlook for Week 1 is in doubt and I’d expect the team to try to get him as close to 100% as possible before getting their prize rookie out there again. Depending on the severity, high-ankle sprains can really sap the life out of a player for an extended amount of time. Love’s ability is worth drafting for sure, but we should be wary. Jonathon Brooks and Chuba Hubbard, Panthers Brooks is finally healthy and is poised to finally get his NFL going this year. Hubbard has been dealing with a hamstring issue, but has returned to practice. At this point I’d expect the two to split work to start the season, but Brooks could take over if he can show that he’s truly back. It’s not a situation I want to invest in this year though. Wide Receivers Luther Burden, Bears Burden is poised for a breakout season, but he’s been slowed down by a groin strain in training camp. At this point I’m not overly worried, but keep an eye on reports ahead of your draft. As of now, I’m still prioritizing him in my drafts. The Bears defense should be not great, while their offense should again take a step forward under Ben Johnson. All of their skill players are worth a second look this season. Malik Nabers, Giants Nabers tore his ACL in Week 4 of last season, but has been cleared to practice with a hope of returning Week 1. He’ll likely need to ramp up, but he will return to a huge role in the offense once again. There is risk due to him returning from this injury, but I’m still more than happy to take him as WR13 at the moment. Emeka Egbuka, Buccaneers Egbuka has a toe injury, but details on the severity are scarce. We should get more info in their practice week ahead of their matchup with the Bengals. I’d like to know more before hitting the draft button, but if he falls due to these concerns, I could see taking on the risk. Jordyn Tyson, Saints Tyson was on fire this summer according to all reports, but that fire was extinguished with yet another hamstring injury. It will be extremely tough to count on him staying healthy, but we know the upside is there. There’s a chance he lands on the PUP list to start the season, which would put him out at least four games. I’d like to have him on a deep bench or IR spot, but I’m not going to count on him yet. Alec Pierce, Colts Pierce got paid this offseason, but he still hasn’t recovered from an ankle injury. Hopefully he’ll start ramping up practices soon, but I would be worried about his early season production for now. Tight ends George Kittle, 49ers Kittle tore his Achilles in January of this year, but has been activated from the PUP list and is trying to work back to play Week 1. That game is in Australia, so there is a chance they focus on Week 2 and let him stay home, but anything is possible at this point. Achilles injuries often sap explosiveness from players, so it is worrisome, but the fact that he even has a chance to play Week 1 is astounding and it’s tough to bet against Kittle. Tucker Kraft, Packers Kraft tore his ACL in early November of last year and was activated from the PUP list on July 31st. He’s returned to practicing and appears ready to play Week 1. There is inherent risk here, but Kraft is the top target on the team and there’s no reason to think he won’t return to that role as long as he’s healthy.
