You Can Pet (And Scold, You Monster) The Dog In GTA 6

Grand Theft Auto VI had its big debut on Netflix today, and as part of the opening sequence we got confirmation that there will be very good boys, by which I mean dogs, and you can interact them in a few different ways. When exploring an apartment complex for a package pickup, Jason and Lucia come across a dog in the hallway. Jason leans over to interact, allowing you to pet the dog, as we've come to expect in video games. But two other options were also notable: Scold, and Study. Scolding a dog is probably exactly what it sounds like, though we didn't see it in action. Maybe there's a dog behavior mechanic and scolding helps steer them right? The Study option appears borrowed from Red Dead Redemption 2, which allowed you to study wild animals. That may indicate GTA 6 will allow you to study a variety of creatures, not just dogs. A New York Times report further detailed that you can buy treats for dogs at shops and give them out.
