Parkinson's disease imposes growing economic burden on Europe, analysis finds

The annual societal cost of Parkinson's disease across Europe reached €22.8 billion in 2019, equivalent to €28.8 billion at 2025 prices, according to a new study published in Movement Disorders. As the number of people living with Parkinson's disease continues to grow, researchers warn that health and social care systems are likely to face increasing pressure.
