American Indians and Alaska Natives in California face barriers to receiving needed health care, study finds

American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) adults in California have poorer access to health care, report more adverse childhood experiences and are more likely to have suicidal thoughts or attempt suicide than all adults in the state, according to a new study from the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research (CHPR).
