Pilot study finds lockable pouches help reduce smartphone use in schools

Smartphone use during the school day dropped significantly across eight Northern Ireland secondary schools. Teachers reported clear behavioral benefits, though pupil well-being showed little meaningful change. Implementation challenges eased as the pilot progressed.
